The Board of Studies record, filled once and checked as you type.

Every department submits its Board of Studies documentation here, in one sequence, on one form. The templates that used to travel as Word and Excel attachments are now typed fields, and the UGC credit rules are applied by the portal before anything is accepted.

How a submission moves

Each stage unlocks the next. Nothing is accepted until it passes validation, so a department never finds out weeks later that a credit total was short.

The Office of Academics issues a login

One account per department, named after the department code. The Office generates the password and hands it over.

Pre-BoS is filled first

DIAC, Board of Studies and Programme Assessment Committee compositions. Everything else stays locked until these are submitted.

UGC Mandatory Disclosure opens

Programme information, credit distribution and syllabus. The credit table is checked against UGC Table 2 as it is typed.

Evidence, approval, repository

Feedback, meeting papers and the approval chain, ending in a sealed consolidated record for the academic year.

The credit rules live in the portal, not in a reviewer's head

UGC Table 2 sets the minimum credits a degree must award in each category. The portal holds that table, applies the right column for a three-year or four-year programme, adds the in-lieu rule for Honours students who do not take research, and refuses a submission whose totals do not reconcile with the course list.

Marks are checked against credits at 1 credit = 25 marks, contact hours are checked against credits, course codes must be unique and correctly formed, and category totals in the summary must equal the sum of the courses actually listed.
